You can only vote on one answer.
Euthanasia is defined as ":the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals (as persons or domestic animals) in a relatively painless way for reasons of mercy"

I honestly can't decide. My heart sometimes tells me yes, but my mind no.

@ColdPenguin: I may regret it. It also tells me who am I to decide on such a thing. But, I know if some of us here should develop an incurable disease, most of these some would opt for euthanasia. So, it's a decision at that very moment, not before that, I believe. It's also dependent on societies' beliefs & ways of life.

@Nefertum: What if it would be multiple doctors and the patient's choice? So, if it's situational, you think it should be legal for the situations when it is applicable?
SW-User
@ColdPenguin: I believe it should. But even that takes a long time because everyone should be absolutely sure that the person is going to die, but that only depends on that person. Then, the process has to go through all the bureaucratic holes until all of them have been filled. If the person decides, that person can go to another country where assisted suicide is legal. I don't believe that will be generally accepted any time soon 'cause majority of the populations are religious and that stops them taking these measures because it conflicts with their moral code, instilled since birth.

Moral if we are someday given the choice to decide like in a DNR.

If the person wants to die so be it

In certain cases I vote morally the right thing to do. However it will never be ethical. Funny how those two don't always agree.
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
It's ethical in California, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington. o_o
Msp940 · 41-45, M
I was more referring to human euthanasia. I may not be current my information.
Transformedandevolved · 26-30, M
Goes much deeper than that.

@ColdPenguin: I agree that if they're in such a bad condition then giving them a rest(Euthanasia) is alright.
But if it's made legal, it can be used as a conspiracy against so many people, you can't imagine. Tell them the patient is suffering so we killed 'em, wow, just like that. Like if it's genuine, it's a good thing but it can often be not.

@itjustbegan: Couldn't the same be said on the operating table for surgery?
Transformedandevolved · 26-30, M
Yes, but that's absolutely necessary in other cases and Euthanasia is not absolutely a necessity in any case but always, rather, a choice.

it's a topic too difficult to discuss I feel, every story is totally different..
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
But in general there must be a relatively easy answer. How about, should it be legal or illegal?
Goralski · 51-55, M
They just killed a dude in some Scandinavian country cause he was a drunk

Patient assisted suicide?
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
Yes, in regards to the hopelessly sick or injured.
SW-User
Yes! Ethical!...Far more ethical than lifetime limits on healthcare ...
JoserJekter · 26-30
Ackk. Can it just be Euthanasia.
Kingfish · 31-35, M
This is a very gray area.
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
I like gray areas.
[c=#BF0080]so unethical [/c]
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
It is illegal in most countries, but is it immoral and why?
SpiritOfSoul · 26-30, F
Very highly debatable
