You can listen to some German tunes. All of these are consider part of what they call: "neue deutsche welle", which is sort a music stream that started halfway the 70s and got populair during the 80s. It's a combination of New Wave, Industrial, Electro, rock and punk sounds. I don't consider "Kraftwerk" to really belong to the genre, they are a pretty pure electro band. But they are part of this searching that a young German generation had after being confronted with the reality of the attrocities of the generation that came before them. It's not really a healthy thing to grow up in a country that lost it's identity and that commited such horrific crimes.
