I Am A Time Traveler

Within in my mind I travel throughout the vastness of time,
It has almost always been an uphill climb and a most imperfect rhyme,

The passage of time has taken its toll,
No more glitter or gold,

Content now to freeze time and just enjoy the day,
No more time to worry about making my way,

As my friend the rabbit, Harvey once told me: happiness isn't about being rich or having power,
It is just about relaxing and enjoying the hour,

These weary bones no longer have the need to get back in my chaotic time machine,
I no longer wonder of what could have been,

Just here now to provide another a smile and to wish them well,
My eyes now look to heaven and concentrate on avoiding hell,

Sittng here watching the wheels go round and round,
Just a simple life now, nothing profound,
A life of contentment is what is ultimately found...
