I Enjoy Researching Family History

i have a very mixed heritage. From german anabaptists to cherokee indians. i found out one time when i looked up my maiden name that when i always thought that it was english it is in fact scottish. i found out that my dads moms maiden name is a respelling of a more common name. my nanna says she remembers her dad calling her mom that stubborn irish woman. (well theres an unlady like word that goes with that statement). so she assumes her moms' family came from ireland. my moms' family is german anabaptist specifically mennonites but she married from my dad who converted rather than born into the mennonite faith. the cherokee comes from his side. My dads' family has lived in my community since the 1830s if you go by how old the graves in the family cemetary are (yes we have our own).
