I have a pair of leather army boots which were issued to me at age 18. They are now 29 yrs old. I had them resoled once and they are still strong and usable. They don't make boots like that any more.

I've got a 10 year old pair of steel toe boots that are still in fine shape aside from the occasional nick and frayed laces. It's probably because of the blood sacrifice, broke my foot in one of them.
