Shoe tax! Would you pay up or go everywhere barefoot?

I'd just live barefoot.

I'd have to pay because other than the beach or pool, one can have mishaps with bare feet. With broken glass, nail, random staples or thumb tacks, my bare feet seem to be magnets for such debris, so shoes are important.

I do also enjoy walking barefoot and feeling the earth with my bare soles.
