I Went Barefoot To School
Throughout my primary and middle school we had a silly indoor/outdoor shoes system. You arrived at school and took off your outdoor shoes and then walked to class in socked feet carrying your shoes where you then put them on a rack which was also where your indoor shoes were kept.
If your indoor shoes were dirty, muddy or didn't conform to uniform then it was socks off too and you'd spend the day in bare feet.
You would also have to spend the entire day barefoot if your socks weren't up to regulation.
In high school shoes just had to be clean and black. If they were dirty then you'd have to hand them in and spend the day barefoot or in socks. It happend often especially to girls as they'd try all types of fashionable sockless shoes and they'd just end up barefoot.
Anyone else experience something similar?
