I Have a Cat [Cats]

You've heard of a dog being man's best friend. I think the cat I have has become my best friend. When I am home he sticks to me like glue. He lays at my feet. When I get up in the morning or come home from work he waits until I sit down. Then he jumps up in my lap. He likes to play with me. He goes to bed and sleeps by the dresser at the same time I go to bed. He won't go near my wife.

My cats have always been that way. I even had one who went on walks with me. He loved his road trips and camping. The two cats I have now don't like to go out, but their behavior at home truly reflect the best friend attitude.

My cat also lets me brush him with a brush when he needs it and lets me rub his tummy when he wants it.

The one I mentioned earlier also fetched paper balls and would get mad if I got tired before he did. One of my current cats likes to fetch Q-tips. (new of course)

Cats can and do bond every bit as much as dogs. The whole standoffishness thing is way overblown, I think.

I wasn't aware of that yntil I experienced and noticed my cat do it.

mine have always bonded strongly with me, as the source of good bits and laps :)

Cats are the most affectionate animals. Mine climbs onto my chest every morning while I'm in bed and gently head-butts me until I stroke and tickle him. I can thoroughly recommend it as a way of waking up.

I own two cats. One of them welcomes me home when I'm gone or says good morning by jumping on my lap. The other says good night by waiting on the bed until I go to bed and runs against me.
My cat is the same.

That is nice to know. I wasn't aware cats can be this way.
