I Would Be Scared Crapless If I Ever Saw A Bigfoot

All I know is that this movie and this picture on the cover has traumatized my brother and I since we both saw it for the first time in 2004-2005: The Legend of Boggy Creek. (1972) It's based on a legendary bigfoot-like mysterious creature that has been reported seen numerous times in Foulke, Arkansas since the 40's.

That's a big "hell no" for me.

I have actually seen this legendary creature. Native Americans call it earth brother or earth spirit or something.
I was 6 years old, and my family lived in a cabin built by my grandfather in the woods. It was mostly pinewoods. This was in the area of Stanchfield, Minnesota. There were three lakes within 5 minutes of our property. While building my sandcastle in the driveway one day, I decided to test my bravery on walking to the end of the driveway. Ours met up with the Grandy Pines rd that ran around the lake. I had to walk down a long road for school in the early and dark dawn mornings, and I was terrified of it. My cousins that lived down the road and I were fine riding our bikes down the dirt road or walking between our houses during the day, but they would often start running ahead of me screaming that they had seen a bear in the woods coming to chase us, and since I was the youngest, I lagged behind crying and wailing I was going to tell on them.
This day, I decided I would walk all the way to the end and touch the tree that marked the split in our driveway and the other road. Two hundred feet ahead of me, a large, hairy, dark brown-black creature emerged from the woods and began to cross the road just near the end of the driveway. I was frozen with my mouth hanging open. My grandfather had always told me stories of Bigfoot in the area, although he had never seen one, he claimed he found signs in the woods where there were a hundred trails linking our property with my cousins and beyond. This creature stood on two feet and had long arms with fingertips reaching the knee seemingly. It paused to look at me for like, four or five seconds, and then it continued to walk across into the other side of the woods.
My heart was pounding as I waited for a moment for it to possibly come back and attack me or something aweful. I never saw it again, and I still visit my grandparents and walk the woods with a dog or two.

That's really cool. 😨😮 My dad knew someone who claimed he saw a Bigfoot in the woods of an area I grew up in in the 70s. My dad has mentioned it a couple times to him since then as a joke because I think my dad used to think he was probably joking. But that man is very sincere. It happened 40 something years ago and he absolutely refuses to hunt there close to dusk ever since.

Why is it bigfoot only reveals himsel to kids, drunks, and hillbillies?
Thebestof1995 · 26-30, F
Maybe they frequent more in the South than the north? 😶😓 I don't know.

There is a story of an ape like woman that was raised like a human and even gave birth in some remote part of Russia or something. I still can't decide if they are a real species or some otherworldly omen.

ape like woman in russia? is this an oxymoron?
ReaperofTime · 46-50, M
I had one behind my deer stand. Twice.

@ReaperofTime: was it warning you to leave? Geez. So people have stories of being attacked and mauled by bears, but not from Bigfoot. Do you think it would do such a thing out of like animal instinct, or do you think it's more human than wild?
ReaperofTime · 46-50, M
@Starkizzed21: its more territorial but rarely outright aggressive
ReaperofTime · 46-50, M
@Starkizzed21: plus i was armed. But since we have made an agreement of sorts. Respect each others hunting grounds

Have you never seen one? Nah me neither
Thebestof1995 · 26-30, F
No, I haven't seen one. In a strange sort of way, I think it would be really cool.
steview100 · 51-55, M
Yes it would be the best
