Has anyone else looked into some of the Ancient Astronaut theories?

I like to retain a healthy level of scepticism, but I also like my imagination to run wild in what I consider a very thought provoking and if true, important part of our historic records. Whether it be the Wandjina, Dogons or the Bible, do you think there are events described in history that sound extraterrestrial, or at least describing something scientifically beyond their time?

I love the stuff however I do my own research and the Ancient Aliens show is ok however that's fully based on someone else's opinion interpretation and I like to get my own opinion and learn things for myself..
