I Feel Nothing

There are moments when I can feel again, and I feel anger, frustration, exasperation, and sadness, all so strongly, but even those leave me, I try even to hold onto sadness, to feel like I can still feel, but I'm left after feeling so stupidly numb, so absolutely indifferent. Nothingness becomes me, and I'm lost in it most hours of the day.

It sounds like you've made fast friends with your sadness, so it is most comfortable to you in its familiarity, if not it's actual comfort in itself. Perhaps some day, you will be feel enough of something else, so allow the sadness to only visit when it's appropriate, and for only a limited time. Until then, I wish you a light to help guide you away from it.

I've spent more time with sadness than much else, but a lot of my joy derives from the same things. Hope for the future arises from looking at the world & seeing all it can be, sadness is often seeing what it can be & what it's not.
