Have you ever just sat down and read the dictionary?

No. I have no reason to since I tend to speak and understand English better than most Americans anyway. And it's not even my first language.

Well, I am from America and have been a fluent English speaker since I learned how to talk, but I agree with you on that even most of my peers can't even speak proper English. Everyone talks in "hip" internet slang and it drives me nuts. I speak so well for someone who grew up where I did, and I never even adopted the accent that most people seem to have. The accent along with the poor language skills just seem to make people seem extremely dumb.[/c]
