And that's after receiving a letter from the IRS that I'll be fined $700 if I don't sign up for Obamacare, which I can't afford. But tonight it's a celebration.

I think it's unconstitutional to fine someone for not buying something. There has to be a better way and since health insurance has been mandated we've seen pharmaceutical prices skyrocket. Private corporations are having a field day at our expense and in the meanwhile people are starting to get into some natural healing to avoid that.

Amen! I've been forced to pay that outrageous fine for the last several years now. It's insane! Fining people for being unable to afford healthcare? I can only imagine how he'd have tackled the homeless problem; ordering them to buy houses, and throwing them in jail when they couldn't. 😠

AbbeyRhode: my ex's sister was working for over 35 years at a business and ended up quitting and getting a job at the university to have health care coverage and avoid being fined...changing careers that late in life or be fined for not having insurance...I feel for her because she is working in the same type of job I retired from and it wasn't easy those last few years...a lot of stress, which is affecting the health of the workers greatly (so many on medications and having problems).

@Goralski: It's not certain. I think it was a directive, but it will be up to the IRS to implement it. At least that's how I interpreted it. We'll have to wait and see.
