Four days ago I posted a question asking what you would do if someone was disparaging your character.
TheWhiteRabbit commented telling me that I shouldn't be passive aggressive (not directly but it was implied.) I was feeling really petty and I chose to write the petty comment in the persons birthday card anyway. I said, "You can believe all of lies you want to, but check your sources first. Happy 80th birthday! Peace and love signed 3venus."
They called me for two days, I kept ignoring their calls. Today, they asked me to take them to the mini mart. Me, not totally heartless, said yes. The second they got into the car they apologized and said that they really, "Put their foot in it, and were duped." I nodded, not sure if I was ready to accept their apology. I did anyway. I forgave the person who accused my of some shady, disgusting shit. But I'm not even ready to acknowledge the person who put it out there in the first place.
Moral of the story, sometimes being petty and passive aggressive works. But for the most part, it's not worth your energy. Thanks to all of the people who commented on the aforementioned question.
