What excuse(s) do you use when you're late?

My ex wife ran off with a cop and I was being pulled over and thought they were trying to return her

I prefer not to use any excuse when I'm late. My favorite method is to walk in as if nothing is wrong and try to blend in as quickly as possible. I'll apologize if someone acknowledges I'm late, and if they ask what's wrong. Normally I won't provide any reason unless they persist after my apology, and then I give as vague a reason as possible.

"Hey, you're late."
"Yeah, sorry about that."
*silent pause*
"Why are you late?"
"It's been a rough morning."

Traffic. Always traffic. They don't even bother to ask anymore.

No excuses I'm just late

Watch running slow due to battery issue and i lost time...No need to mention other watches at home.

I don't make excuses. I tell them what really made me late if there is reason so I just say, sorry, I am late. lol

"Had to drop off the siblings at school" or "doctors apt"

NEVER late as I was brought to show respect to others when visiting

Traffic or i'd pin that on someone else.
