You can tell a big difference in the people who go thru life with a warrior mentality and the ones who go thru life with a victim mentality.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. Your thoughts??

If you read my story, you'll see I'm a fighter and a survivor, not a victim

The depressed perpetuate their own depression. I wish they could see that they give themselves depressing names, surround themselves with depresssing friends, and only talk about depressing things.
A terrible cycle

YES...because the universe gives what you ask for and many don't realize it. In other words, negative thoughts bring negative stuff, so it's much better to stay as positive as you can...then all that positive energy comes your way for a much better day❣👍🏼🌅🍀

@Peaches: Fret and worry help us make bad decisions.

@SweetMae: So true!😕
Self-fulfilling prophecy are effects in behavioral confirmation effect, in which behavior, influenced by expectations, causes those expectations to come true. It is complementary to the self-defeating prophecy.
The way we treat each other can have a positive or negative impact. Like if we regularly tell a person they are ugly, that person may come to believe that they are. If they keep hearing it from the same person or many people, it can become true. If someone continues to be told they are a failure, they may begin to believe they are. We have some control over what we listen to but sometimes a person can be vulnerable or have low self esteem and or not a circle of people who love and encourage them. I think we are also more vulnerable the younger we are but how we are brought up has many effects on our self esteem both positively and negatively.

You are most definitely a fighter and survivor. Sorry that anybody would have to go thru that. Having worked in the prison system for 27 yrs, I see some real bastards. Thank you for sharing your story.
