It amazes me how so many people think polls and statistics show anything meaningful

They only represent what the authors want them to - and yet so many fall repeatedly for the subterfuge

Statistics are very meaningful but only if you have knowledge the methodology is sound and understand how to interpret them. The rest of the time they say what the people who post them want them to say.

@lacsar: So Lascar if you read that statistically cigarette smoking contributes to inflammation, blood vessel wall damage, contributes to unhealthy cholesterol levels, disturbs normal heart rhythms increases blood pressure that is a bunch of bullshit and you should smoke all you want. Some things you can prove with hard science and some things you might only have associations with statistical proof you are a dumb ass to think statistics are utterly useless.

@lacsar: anyway the question was about polls, the polls were taken amongst eligible voters, and the polls were right. Clinton won by almost 2.9 million votes
