Can I steal my son's guinea pig?

Everyone human and animal other than me in this house is asleep, I have a feeling the guinea pig isn't. She is usually up all night making noise, so can I steal her and bring her in here, so I will at least not be awake alone. (My fear is at some point I might fall asleep and the cat will get her, in here :( ) Think it's worth the chance?

You should play with the guinea pig. They're social animals and need interaction or they'll get depressed.

She's a sweet piggie, I love it when she whistles, I do play with her, I just won't bring her into the bedroom because the cats sleep in here, and I don't want her to get hurt.

They don't mind being woken up. They might be grumpy in the morning but they don't mind. That's their job keeping you happy
