I Write Mediocre Poetry
Caught in a mire, no desire, close to the fire, easy to ire,
Always tired, sick of the liars, why does it seem so very dire,
Trying to stay close to the light, looking for a safe flight, a candle which burns bright,
To hold tight with all my might, longing to fight the good fight, to find something that is pure and right,
Time is quickly speeding by, why oh why do these binds forever tie,
Caught in a sigh, just wanting to fly, no time to vie,
Knowing the truth within my soul, a life to console, needing a role,
A heart and mind to make whole before time takes its toll,
How do I stay close to my dream, how do I beam, just wanting to scream,
Be part of a team, some self-esteem, more than an illusion or what it just seems,
To throw all my energy into God's call, to stumble and fall, yet to stand tall,
Get rid of the chain and ball, giving my all, to pull out of life's constant stall,
Where do I find peace of mind, another person who is kind, to walk with all the way down the line,
If I only could slow down time, find balance and rhyme, that would be an incredible find,
Honesty, sincerity when looking into another person's eyes, I only ask for this, please no more lies,
Just somebody to appreciate how I try, to make it through before I die, to reach the light ever so high,
Dear God, give me the grace of a sincere soul and heart, help me restart, paint my life within Your incredible art,
Do not let me wander from Your side or part, the wisdom I need please impart,
Keep me steadfast in my faith and bound, not wanting to just walk aimlessly round and round,
How can a lost sheep dear God be found, how do I listen for Your peaceful and harmonious sound ?
Keep me on the right path and road, I wish not just to reap but to sow,
To find that contentment, to walk with purpose and an even flow, accepting the burdens and obstacles for which I tow,
Meaning and peace is all I ask for, to live a life where the light and even the rain does pour,
To be far from shore but knowing You always nurture my inner core, for You dear God I adore,
For your infinity mercy I appreciate it so much, for it is thy soul You always touch,
I need to find patience and not to rush, to be humble and not to fuss, to give You dear God all my trust,
God you are the anchor to my life, the life blood which runs through my veins, please dear God take away all my worry and all my pains, for You are a just God who forever reigns....
