People date because we are also sexual beings, who were designed to love and want love returned. A loving relationship isn't solely centered on physical intimacy, but being there for each other in other beautiful fulfilling ways

Dating is fun, you can do basically anything in a relationship - it all really just depends on the people involved, and no one NEEDS a SO. It's normally just enjoyable to share your life intimately with someone else but it's not for everyone

Dating is the step you take before coming a serious couple leading up to marriage. You make sure to not marry into something that wont work out. A lot of people skip over the first step and go directly to marriage, it ends badly. Therefore you should date. Only date when you become 17+ because a relationship will typically not survive under the teen years, you change too much. In a relationship you live together, you share expenses, you have sex and love each other. You're each others right hand. No one needs a SO... as its said in the bible, let people come together in relationships if they have time for it. So if you dont want it, wait.
