Does anyone have experience driving for Lyft or Uber?

So I've decided not to go back to my traditional job, although the company I left was on good terms and was told I could reapply at any time, I just don't think I can commit to that anymore. Yes the money was good but I'm still emotionally fragile from my recent loss.

My husband told me I don't have to go back to work if I don't want to, I already do all the "office" work for our business (home remodeling and repair) I make the invoices, draw up the contracts, handle insurance and permits, make the schedule and handle the "apprentice's" when they're needed.

But I want to make a bit of money myself too, I don't like asking for money to spend on myself and when Father's Day and birthdays and anniversaries roll around I like to be able to buy the gift or treat my husband with the money I earned. So I'm seriously considering Lyft, or going back to making handmade jewelry but this time not to keep but to sell

Let me know what your experience was driving for one or both of these companies.
Thanks
My dad used to drive for both and he has nothing but bad things to say about them. The people are snobby and rude..., not to mention the shit commission you make.

Oh that sounds horrible, maybe I should go back to jewelry making then.
A good friend of mine in Vegas is an Uber driver. He seems to do ok
