What's the difference between marriage and civil partnership in the UK?

In Canada, if two people live together for 6 months, they're as good as married/civil partners.

It's discrimination. The two judges who were against it were leant on by political influence. This is the end of the law in the uk if it allows politicians to affect a judicial case.

I think it is unreasonable, and I think the courts are heading the same way for you folks. It's the same folks fighting this that fought LGBT rights.
