Do you like people who post private messages?

I mean, if they're doing something the site would consider "illegal" like being a fake and such.

But some people do it because they don't like them...

Well, I send a lot of PMs on this site, because not every topic needs to be publicly discussed, and because privacy needs to be maintained in many cases, for emotional, health, or even legal reasons, not necessarily because of the topic being illegal, itself, i.e. when the discussion involves 3rd parties, etc.

I do tend to like people who send private replies to the PMs I sent them. :-)

Oh, you mean people posting publicly, previously private messages? Yes, that is unethical, and I would have no respect for anyone who publishes *on this site* anything they were not authorized to disclose.

It's still a private message, breaching that trust is something the site considers "illegal"

I communicate with people differently through PM'ing because it's private.

but nobody is posting just personal conversations, people are posting when others are doing weird or creepy stuff. if there was a wave of people posting personal conversations it would be different but it's not like that.

I have seen people post private messages on here when it's not really a problem, it's still a breach of trust and the report button is easy to find.

But yes, it has seemed to have slowed down recently, there was one user on here who only did that, they ticked a few people off to say the least.
