Why do people think when you heart their comment it's an open invitation for them to PM you?

I personally think it's a short cut. As for F.B. If I don't know you, Never heard of you, I am NOT going to FRIEND. I have one friend I have known for years, that responds to and accepts ALL friends wanting to add her. Sorry but I have to KNOW you. Or have at least met you. However I guess you meant HERE in S.W.
