What's the scariest bug you've found in your house. What's the story behind the encounter?

For me the scariest bug encounter was actually a harmless one(still scared me). My sister was trying to tell me there was some weird bug in the bathroom. I looked around and didnt see it. Well the house centipede decided to come out while i was taking a shit later that day. Not a fun time. I was so grossed out by it I tried drowning it since it moved to my bathtub. Didnt work, so I had to smash it since we didnt have spray and theres no way in heck i was picking it up.

There was this time a wolf spider appeared in my bathroom but at the time I lived with my dad so thankfully he took care of it.

when I lived on the border I once started to stand up and thank god I looked down because there was a tarantula (sp) crawling from under my recliner between my feet. I nearly died on the spot. I didn't have any bug spray so I took a can of bathroom cleaner, the foaming kind, and used the entire can to drown that sumbitch. I was totally creeped out.

I chased that thing behind the TV stand and killed it there and left it for hubby to put in the trash. I wasn't touching it.

Mine was a spider encounter too...I had a box in my room because I was planning to move. The box pretty much was the size of a shoebox...I decided to just take a peek because why not? To my surprise, one of the largest spiders i've ever seen had popped out of the box and was hanging on the edge of the box XD in an instant of terror and dread, I threw the box outside my conveniently opened window. Happy ending yay! :D

I was like 9 and i was playing with my toys. Suddenly I took out a military truck and inside it was a neon green spider. shit scared me to death.'
I dont remember how it died, but it died.

@pandora: you know funny enough i used to live in a place where snakes were everywhere, and for some reason they didnt scare me. I think because I was younger and i mainly thought they were cool. I remember two different incidents where we found them in our house. And I remember seeing several rattlesnakes on my way walking to school. Was probably lucky not to be biten in hindsight. o_O
