When you are walking and pass someone on the street, how often do you make eye contact? Do you ever say hi?

I make brief eye contact and smile at people but I rarely say anything unless they say hi first.

I don't say hi, unless they make eye contact. If they do, I smile then say "hello"

If my eyes meet with another person i will say "hi", but i try to avoid that possibility by looking when they are not.

I make eye contact and smile, if they say hello or good morning I reciprocate. It happens often.
