Do you think kids still need dads in this new world?

Countless I've heard women say they don't need a man to raise a child. Basically the dad function is useless or reduced to provide child support.
I think it is best to have two parents. It takes two to be in love. It takes two to create a baby. It takes two to take turns and two to support children. Mothers and fathers are both important. Takes feminine and masculine ways to raise a child well.

Just because someone says they don't need dads doesn't mean it is true.

To be a good parent it takes commitment and effort. The science that I've seen shows that children have the best chance at success by having both a mother and father.

That doesn't mean a single parent or other alternatives can't do a great job raising children, but that the best chance, statistically, is with a Mom and Dad.

Kids need both a mother and father at different times in their lives. They also need parents who teach respect toward the other gender and so much more.

A father figure is very very important in a child's life. Same with a mother.

Of course children still need a male influence, whatever women try and convince themselves men play a major role also in bringing up our children..

Kids don't need a dad if they want to grow up with all kinds of daddy issues.

I think this is a very unfair statement, I've come across plenty of women that have been rubbish mothers and the kids have paid for it..it works both ways.

Daddy issues are real. Period. Like it or not. The question was about dads. Not mothers. The answer is fair.

Kids need their dads.
Children benefit greatly from an active and healthy relationship with both a mother and father. Fathers are still a vital part of their child's life.

Good dads are invaluable to a child's development. The problem is that too many fathers are either absent or worthless or a downright threat to their kids.

Yes kids need dads! What they do not need is any irresponsible parent.

All children need and deserve to have a father.

Personally, I think all children benefit from good, attentive and present fathers. But they're better off with no man in the home than an abusive one. And they're also better off with a responsible father than a neglectful mother. Some people still think only women can nurture, but that's not true. And not all women can.

Having a father and mother is important, though circumstances often limit that situation....
