Was Santa Claus a big thing in your home growing up?

I knew of him but my presents were never "from Santa Claus."

You kidding? We're 21 and 16 and mom still puts "from santa" on some of our presents...
Haha, it's kind of cute but I will never understand the point of it.

@Poptartinvasion: I don't think I saw the point of it when I was little, but the story's kind of sweet, I guess.

For a couple years until I figured it out.
Haha, did you say anything? Or did you just go along with it?

I was 6 and snooping and I saw my mom and dad wrapping the presents. So in the morning I saw the exact one and "Santa" on it. I was like "mom, I saw you wrapping this there's no Santa!!" My dad said, "well guess he figured it out we don't have to do this crap anymore!" And that was the end of Santa.
@hyg346: lmaooo. 😂 your dad is me. Although I probably would have gave up long before you were six.

Lmaoo. I swear I always thought that when people spent so much money on presents for their kids and they're like "it's from santa"??

We knew of him, but it only lasted for me, until I was 6, when my sister pointed out how sometimes Santas' handwriting resembled our moms, and at other times, our dads.

@Poptartinvasion: I thought my sister was brilliant for noticing that!
@PeanutsauntieP1982: that is brilliant! Not many kids notice small things like that
Clearly. 😂

:-D My sis notices the small things. She's a detail oriented person, always has been.

Growing up when Santa wrapped a present the tag was always written in red ink. Now I am Santa (I play him from time to time, don't need a fake beard)

No. None of us really believed in that even though some of the gifts were labeled that way.
Mine was never labeled that way. It was always labeled from my parents, but I don't think I'd believe it very much either.

i guess.. i mean we all contributed to the myth. it's fun to give.
I don't know. I only knew of him from school. Lol, when I asked my mom about it when I grew older she said she never mentioned it because she doesn't see the point of it. I don't either really.
