so what makes a red neck. Are they what I know as hillbillies?

Actually a lot of people misinterpret the term redneck.. that name came from workers who wore red handkerchiefs around their necks to keep from getting sunburned. Somehow it got twisted along the way and is now considered what you would call a hillbilly lol.
