Thank you! Hm,my family members are pretty open about the way they feel but I'm not sure if that's the way they appear to others . Maybe they put on a mask as well. We act differently when we're around close people so I might be seeing just one side of them. But I know people who are going through hard times and yet they think that by showing their true feelings, they will give other people something to talk about. I admit that there are people who do that-who are happy when they see other people are miserable , but I think that hiding your feelings is very damaging. What about you? Do you have family members or friends who do that?
@Originalme , Yes. Haven't you ever been engaged in infectious group laughter? Our joys and pains do affect those around us, positively or negatively, whether they happen to be familiar people or not :D

After a certain length of time of hiding your feelings, it starts to feel natural. Then even when you really want to tell people that you're hurting and you're sad and in a lot of pain, that voice in your head comes back to say "Uh uh....can't let them find out. Just keep your mouth shut and everything will go away....."
