How does SW compare to EP?

The fact that the moderators are actually here moving around and keeping an eye on the place is a huge, good start. Once the feature to directly reply to people instead of throwing the @ symbol in front of their name would be an awesome addition that will make the place cooler.

I'm fine with everything so far. Once we can reply to commenters without making a completely different post, I'll have no complaints.

@lovelldo: You don't need a link to report content. Simply click the report button, select a reason, write a short explanation and send it away. A link to the post or comment of which you clicked the button is then automatically attached. Sending a link by email will get it reviewed as well, but is more work for you as well as the admins, so please use the report buttons instead for inappropriate content. For questions you are more than welcome to email them of course. With screenshots it may be hard to find the content on the website in order to remove it.

But all reports, through the report function or email, get looked into and appropriate action will be taken, whether you get a reply or not. If you disagree with a decision or have a question about it, you can send an email to support@similarworlds.com.

In most ways it's about the same to me as far as social websites go. EP had more features, but then they started taking them away. I never had a photo album there so don't remember how that worked, but looking for our photos here is like looking for a needle in a haystack.😵It's very time consuming. Since I have hackers that follow me around here all day, I'm not sure if it's them or a "bug?!" 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just recently they are coming out in the open about it, they are pretty confident there is nothing anyone can do to them. I don't think anyone has openly talked about being "hacked" like I have. Most just suffer in silence, but I won't and there should be an open dialog about these creeps. I don't get any response from the team about it. I personally liked it when the questions and stories were separate. I can't even find all my questions anymore. The gifts here are too expensive.🤑You'd have to stay on line at least 72 hours straight to afford a decent one to send a friend. Also on EP when you sent a gift there was a space to thank them. I thought that was nice, especially if a person didn't have the coins to send one back. Being able to at least say "thank you" can go a long way. 💓 For the most part I think the staff here (including you) are doing a nice job. Very quick response to problems here as compared to EP...love the layout and other things. Have noticed a few bugs but they seemed to be resolved now.

SW is more personalized. And I also get less perverted messages, as it's easier to show on your profile if those things interest you or not.

the best thing is the moderators are around. ep was on robocop. people figured the way aroundthem.

Seems to be fewer trolls and less pornographic in the non adult section and I like that .

I can overlook the bugs. So many EPervs aren't here :3

The difference is we have a choice to hide our friends and recent posts from the trolls that we'll never be able to get rid of! I wish we all had a more personalized profile page like the old EP though. I miss the "wallpaper" and bigger profile pictures. Thank you all for making this site a bit safer than the old EP. I left there a year before it closed because it got so bad.

@Unlearn: The developers saw there was a huge demand for a replacement when EP closed and they had the necessary experience to make that happen, so they just went for it.

@agreatday: Thank you for this feedback. I'll make a note and see if this happens for more people.

SW has potential but it has not matured to the level EP was

I would like to see less of these sexual stories and questions EP did not have so much of that.
Have more serious stuff up there but I guess thats for people to write not something the site owner can do

@lovelido: Did you sent them an email or did you use the report function? There is no system in place yet to reply to reports, so you don't get feedback to this. But all reports are reviewed and appropriate action gets taken, even if they don't inform you about this. (A feedback system for reports is planned for a later stage though.)

@HEREISME: You can block adult content in your preferences. (And trust me: there was a lot of that on EP too if you disabled the adult filter.)

I like SW a lot but I'm wondering why admin didn't respond to my report. I feel like I don't matter, like what I saw does not matter to admin. That makes me feel bad because I know what I saw and will they listen to me if it happens again. It's only been two days. It's not so terrible. They could be really busy but I sent them screenshots and they didn't respond to that.

What were your reasons behind creating this website?

I sent them an email because I didn't know how to get a link. I do now but I took screen shots of the thread I reported and sent it through email. I think Jessa forwarded it. But I sent an email myself yesterday. I thought that I could do that, like it would have the same weight as sending a link and reporting a thread on the thread.

So far, so good. I know the site is not done yet.

it's a lot better than EP. my only problem is since the ad's have been incorporated, it's slowed down my computer tremendously.

Set up that response button and I'll marry this website

SW is better than EP ever was and can only get better as far as im concerned
