i remember when I was Catholic the priest showed me two pictures [Spirituality & Religion]

one lead to God and this path was hard to walk it had thorns, while the other path had a beautiful landscape, it was cover with flowers which was the easy path to walk but it lead to the devil, at first I didn't really understand this since I was kid, but now I realize looking back that I was lead astray and took the easy path feeding my desires, but little did I realize that this carnal and spiritual desires will bring me to my knees. Now I'm just kind reevaluating this paths again, i'm awake, but walking the godly path is hard since my mind is really screwed.

The odd thing is that the path to God is the easy path. We just stop reasoning and go along with the crowd and the dream. There's a lot of calling black white and evil good in religion.

Actually walking the path with god is only easy when you are pure and innocent of mind when the only thing you saw was good(if you were raise in a morally and ethical family, but after we are lead astray, we have open our eyes to carnal and spiritual desires so does strongholds are still there and since you know what ecstasies they bring is hard to break that habit.

Good for you. It takes time, Rome wasn't built in a day and God knows of our weaknesses and temptations. Just pray about it.

what that is irrelevant to me since it doesn't help me with my inner struggle plus I have my own ideas.

@PsychoMantis: OK then . I recommend starting to research what exactly the New Testament is based on. You will find that the Catholic church's own encyclopedia points out that it was compiled in the 4th century. 350 yrs after the Jesus chap allegedly walked the Earth.

Google something like "Constantine and the truth about the new testament". These are truths you won't hear from a priest or preacher.

@Wraithorn: Actually while people can draw similarities between religions, the more in depth you study it the more you realize that is different from other religions. I have read a lot of things like Christ being a made up figure incorporated by other religious characters, I mean there's all kinds of crazy things you can find like gospels been illustrated in the constellations. Like moses murdering the hebrews who were worshiping the cow because moses knew they were worshiping Taurus, and they didn't welcome the new age.
