The Truth About Baton Rouge

This is from an actual resident of Baton Rouge, LA. You are entitled to your own opinions, not your own facts.

This charade is almost as laughable as him beseeching black people to vote for him in front of a totally white audience in Michigan. His campaign is embarrassing in its amateurishness.

Indeed it is Pez.

To keep to facts, I'm pretty sure Trump donated an 18 wheeler full of supplies to a church. Sure, he's probably doing so to bank a few political points, but that's still a very real donation that's gonna make a small difference at least.

Seems this Neva character just isn't a very big Trump fan, which is fair, but perhaps makes her post slightly biased. For example, she goes on to say people have taken time off work to help the community - well, isn't this in effect what Trump has done? It just appears she doesn't like his contribution because she doesn't like him, which isn't really a valid reason to rail on him and his donation.

Edit to add: Yes, he did donate an 18 wheeler, as per this news source for the Parish: http://www.thecreole.com/?p=62667.

According to the news source, it was one of the hardest hit area's, which also contradicts Neva's statement that he was only in the area because it was majority Republican.

"Did the 18 wheeler ever actually come" - yes, here's video evidence: https://youtu.be/c25cCR9CYks?t=19s. It doesn't say, but what matter is it whether it's Trump's personal money or not? What matters is that he arranged for those supplies to be there to aid those who need it. Do you think the Parish should've turned the supplies away because "Oh, well if you didn't pay for them, then we don't want them"?

nit at all, just curious. btw obana sent aid to the whole state and much more than an 18 wheeler, but if trump did that then it was a nice gesture and also it seems a great photo op.

I agree - I'm not a big Trump fan; not really a fan of any of them. It's just that 3venus wanted to speak about facts, and I wanted to clarify some of what the poster said. You can hate the guy, but at least hate him based on the truth.
The "Trumpsters" are going to think Trump walks on water no matter what he says, does or doesn't do. My relatives in Louisiana have said the same thing this article does, but funny how they're all "biased". Obama has already made federal aid available to the flood areas, but people (mostly who don't live in the area) are complaining because he hasn't visited. This explains logically why that would be problematic.

Did you even read what it said ? Trump hasn't donated his money or anyone else's. He's looking for a photo op.

[c=#4C0073]You don't know what Obama is going to do. I can't speak for Hillary, but I've talked to and worked with Obama on multiple occasions. He does a lot of things under the radar that don't ever make it to the public eye. He gives more when no one is watching. He's been in Louisiana multiple times over the years working behind the scenes to help improve conditions here, and oversee projects he's started. I fully expect him to do the same once he's able.
