I am not sure i ever talked to the dead. But my shaman did.
I became friends with one that worked at McDonald's in my town. She has a 16 year old daughter that wanted to become a man. Ok-- now I have experience talking to those that may be transgendered and she was seeking my council. Now and again when I was in the restaurant.
She revealed to me that she is an Indian Shaman-and at times she talks to dead people-BUT they have to contact her THREE times.
Once we were outside the restaurant and she was looking at me- and then not looking directly at me. "Should I talk to you ? Do you want me to talk to you?" And she became silent.
Then she told me my Grandmother, (who died in 1980) was standing behind me. And she then told me things she COULD NOT have known- Things my GM other had told her. I was in awe. I wanted to tel a family member- and finally decided on my daughter- My mother would have flipped!

Sadly in our society we cannot talk about certain things that many people would consider a mental aberration.We have to be very selective to whom we disclose those things.Many people because of their religious upbringing actually believe that heaven and hell is real and no one bats an eyelid about it,but mention reincarnation and the spirit world and they will have you carted off into a loony bin!And yet the belief of reincarnation and the after life make so much more sense than playing the harp in a town paved with gold and precious stones or burning in hell for ever.It all comes down to centuries of brainwashing by the church.
