It is obvious, especially since all of the major professional sports are now being sponsored by sports book betting sites and apps. Referees and umpires can control the outcome of games with just a few "questionable" calls on penalties and fouls on teams and more obviously certain star players get preferential treatment.

🤔..........Just about ever sports teams in all the 4 major sports have sponsors from online sports gambling sites........Even the owners of the teams have a small amount of equity stakes in the gambling sites.......... like Caesars, DraftKings, and FanDuel, Caesars Entertainment..........etc..........It's all about getting the fans to bet on the games........To fill the owners pockets with more cash.......

There's a reason that all the professional sport leagues have changed their public settings to entertainment industries as opposed to newsworthy sporting leagues.
I think its fixed and its so obvious. I was an athlete, loved to watch professional and college sports but now i now care anymore, its all a racket
FORMERLYbatovn · 61-69, M
@Anothermrsockmonkey I've never played sports but I grew up watching it, but I think you're right. It's all business and no sport
Ynotisay · M
@Anothermrsockmonkey And I played professionally for a little while and I can guar-an-freaking-tee you that there's no fixing in college or professional sports. If you were an athlete you should know that more than those who weren't. Are there are cases of bottom-dwelling teams holding guys out to get a better draft pick and protect an investment? Yeah. That's happened. But that's different than fixing for money.

You have no proof of that, which means you’re just a wacko conspiracy theorist.
You probably also believe the BS about the 2020 having been stolen.

@RedBaron go watch a major league baseball game to check out the balls and strikes calls. Watching NFL game or even a college football game and tell me that the calls aren't slanted to certain teams in certain players. Watching NBA game and count how many steps they take before a layup, and tell me it's not traveling. The fact that you disagree with my opinion does not invalidate my opinion.. it just means you don't agree big deal. I'm done with this conversation because all you're looking for is an argument and I really don't care what your opinion is of my opinion I have more important things to deal with. Good evening

@FORMERLYbatovn I’m watching one right now.
Making serious accusations in the absence of evidence is not only invalid but paranoid.

@RedBaron hahahahaha. Yet you try to invalidate an observation/opinion because you disagree......THAT is paranoid. If you notice my post was a QUESTION....over and out

As fixed as the elections.
FORMERLYbatovn · 61-69, M
@BuzzedLightyear lol. Imma leave that lay right where it fell. 😉😁
Ynotisay · M
@BuzzedLightyear Which means they're not fixed. Elections aren't fixed and competitive sports at any real level aren't fixed. Doesn't work that way.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
Don't ask me. I haven't watched sports in decades.
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
Only watch hockey now
Wireman · 31-35, M
Since betting companies have become the main sponsers, I don't care that much about my sports. I now only watch it for entertainment.
Ynotisay · M
Scheduling has a lot to do with that. But there's no team or player that isn't playing to win.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Nothing is fixed. Stfu.

Sports are boring for a number of reasons these days. From the over production to create " full product" to sports "science" watering the games down to perfect play.
