My Favorite Quote [Spirituality & Religion]

Yes, it's from the Bible. I discovered it when I was a teen... and it's been written on my heart ever since. Psalm 28:7

My heart is helped. I need this now... and always.

There are many beautiful Psalms in the Bible..
StarLily · 46-50, F
[@387713,4meAndyou] Yes there are.😌 This particular one has always been significant for me... it's kind of like a gift.

A little story for you, if you don't mind...
Like I said, this spoke to me as a teen... and also throughout my college years. When I was pregnant with my first child, at 29 years old, I purchased a baby names book that included ancestral and historic meanings behind names, as well as a biblical scripture tied to the name. I looked up my name... which is a common name, but spelled very uncommonly. This book actually included the unique spelling of my name for once. And the scripture given to it... was Psalm 28:7. I couldn't believe it when I saw it.🤭

[@18164,StarLily] That is a very lovely story. Usually I like the psalms that are about strength, because my life has been difficult...like this one:

"The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 25:2 In You, My God, I trust."

[@387713,4meAndyou] Yes, another great one about strength, and mentioning God as our shield again. I love it... thanks for sharing it here.🌷

Ever read that book further than that?

[@10662,Emosaur] Haha. And people that make assumptions. They're even better!👍👍
Emosaur · M
[@18164,StarLily] Not an assumption, just what Christians believe. If you don't believe in the entire Bible, why claim to follow it?
