@Carazaa I guess every organization offers what they can. I admit I didn't know it existed, though. It's probably not that widespread in my country.

@LeopoldBloom I read the article, it seems like a hit piece on the SA, some said this and some said that but not what the salvation army said. Having volunteered in a homeless shelter, men and women are housed separately. Some women have been abused or beaten and raped, they go to the shelter to be protected from men, when someone with a penis hanging walks into their shelter area, you can pretty much bet that every women there feels he is a man and should be housed with the men no matter what he identifies as. If your idea of equal rights is to have transgender men allowed to terrorize women, so be it.

@GodSpeed63 that is great! They aren't perfect but they do a lot for people in need! And they have church services too! They employ people too!

@hippyjoe1955 no other organization has free counseling shelter and food in every city in every country around the world! They are amazing! I stayed in the shelter when I was abused as a young mom with my baby they took care of me and fed me and prayed with me for free!

@Carazaa Lots of them do and the Sally Anne is no longer free. They have a fee for service like any other business. I work with homeless people all the time there are homeless shelters that offer free shelter. The Sally Anne is not one of them. The cost is fairly minimal but it is a cost and your stay there is limited.
