I think of asking God to help someone, as a privilege and honor to be able to come before Him in prayer, and that He loves and cares for us so much, that He is mindful of us and our needs. It IS Him wanting to help us, of course. He doesn't have to, but wants to help us. I thank Him for all He is, all He does, and all He's going to do. He gives us our needs, not selfish wants. He always provides.
