No. While many religions condemn suicide as a mortal sin, they also tend to say that you can repair bridges to your God at any time. Even after death. Having said that, suicide is a tragic act and permanent solution to what is often a temporary problem.

I'd say judging others is a bigger sin

MrsGearhead4, according to the Bible if one because of real or imagined horrific situations in their life commits suicide they can be forgiven. However, the Bible mentions one thing that will NOT be forgiven: Blasphemy against God's holy spirit (Matthew 12:31,32)....Its also interesting to note that the word suicide is not in the word.

I think if you are dead, you are not really caring if you are "sinning"

In a word, no...

If someone chooses to follow some moral code thought up by ancient illiterates, then I suppose they might lose sleep over the question..

Can it be misconstrued as a selfish act...yes, there is evidence for that...

The problem with that idea is the individual who commits suicide, is often under extreme emotional or physical distress...terminal illness etc.

Who are any of us to say that they should keep taking medications and hanging on to life by a thread for our selfish needs.?
i dont know but i think its a weak way of getting out of this world

The unforgiveable sin is the lack of compassion afforded the poor fuckers by religious types.
