Moral responsibility!

You have lost me there. </3

🙏

I tend to move my offline relationships to online…if they’re going really well. Then after six weeks I ask them to marry.
Not me necessarily, but someone online
@Ghostinthemachine the opposite lol
@Caleidoscope they say opposites attract lol
@Ghostinthemachine Online you mean ?

I don’t think it’s a moral responsibility, I don’t think anyone sees that as that. More like a common desire to extend the relationship to the “real world” , and obviously have physical intimacy.

But it’s an interesting question. I don’t think all online relationships need to go that route, it really depends on the couple and what they think it’s best for them. I knew someone who had a 10 year fully online relationship with someone that eventually came to an end. I could never do that.

There are no rules. You just have to start a relationship with someone who is on the same page as you.

Personally, I will never act like there's higher emotional investment from my part than there is before I actually meet them ever again because it would only be based on a fantasy. At this point I only want to bond with a real, full person with a body and personality that I can observe in real life situations, not my illusion of someone I based on parts they decided to show online.

There are LOTS of men that are very much on this page, they never want to meet. Usually because they’re married or attached in someway. Their only interest is online.
Or maybe they don’t find it interesting enough or are shy about it to make it official or meet .Whatever be it,at the start its important to set the boundaries that the communication is strictly online .

They can remain online, all depends on what the two parties find mutually beneficial. But I get what you mean in the sense of feeling a need to “legitimize” the relationship as many are of the opinion that online relationships aren’t real unless you actually meet in person.
@OlderSometimesWiser True but even if its unreal ,why is there a need to validate?Let unreal be unreal.
@Caleidoscope Some are content with “unreal,” for others that’s not enough. Again, it all comes down to a mutual decision on what works best for the two people involved.
@OlderSometimesWiser Absolutely true .You should have been wisersometimesolder coz most of the times,you give a almost a perfect reply .
Online just woundnt be enough for me personally.
Not be able to smell them, touch them.....nup, couldn't do it.🤷‍♀
