Is she addicted because then she could go to AA meetings. Hear what could happen if you go down that path, as well as the stories of hope & success.
Also, she has to be doing this for a reason. Did she have a bad past she needs to work through? Feelings of not being worthy or caring what happens to her/ whether she lives or dies? I would also suggest counseling if thats the case.
Rarely do people act out for no reason so if she can get to the root of why she does that and any pain shes not working through she should be fine :) @SW-User

I dare say, it probably has something to do with your history of what happened to you when you were 5 - 10. It was your job to satisfy the demands of those who held you captive. You may have chosen an identity that had you satisfying all of their needs for the purpose of your own survival, then carried that identity forward into your adult life. This is what I did, too. I find people in need and help them get what they want.
