I'll ask why in private. From then I will see if it's credible. If it's not, I'll walk away.

@GunFinger You think you’d get the truth?
GunFinger · F
@Unefilletrescurieuse hopefully. But lies within lies. We don't know.
@GunFinger I think when you confront most people about lying, they deny or tell another lie or 10 to cover it up. Hence makes it worse.
It depends on the person. If I care about them I will call them out, but if I don't care I will walk away.

Call them out. I doubt their explanation would matter at that point. If they lied already, how would I know the explanation would be something i should believe?
The question is whether they matter to me. If they do, il forgive them once.
If they don’t, il walk away.

I make a mental note of the decision they chose to make by lying to me and I adjust their future exposure to me accordingly.
@PerfectionOfTheHeart sounds like a plan.

It depends. In most cases, I sigh and let them be.
@WanderingHelplessly so walk away?
CactusJackManson · 51-55, M
It depends on the situation. You have to pick your fights carefully.
