How did you know?
That you would never drink again? What was different about that day?

@Youwereexpectingajoke were you on your 30s then?
Youwereexpectingajoke · 31-35, M
@CurrentName I was 27
I started drinking at 15 and steadily drank more and more as I got into my 20s.
By 27, I had been drinking almost every waking moment for 3 years.

That's excellent. Congratulations. I had an alcoholic brother. It's is a really terrible disease. Even if it doesn't kill it destroys lives and families.

It’s nearly fifty years for me and I agree, life is wonderful now that I have sanity. Keep it up. Not only your liver but your skin, your brain, your entire digestive track will all be better as you age. No matter what anyone tells you, alcohol, even in small doses is not good for you.

A week sober now. Thank you for the encouragement.
But I was expecting a joke.
