arrange marriages are completely fine if your parents respect your will, but some parents doesn't, and force you to marry whoever they like. it might be arranged,but it's force.so it doesn't mean arrange marriages is bad.

@rebelliousgal hahaha that is true. though I also have some responsibilities here so I am not that free anymore :D but I don't mind but yeah being a child has it's benifits but so does being an adult :D It depens XD

Actually over here the guy and the girl meets only once and they get married based on physical appearances alone. I think the character of a person is what matters. I couldn't marry a guy coz he looks good.

nothing wrong with arranged marriages if both parties like each other. sometimes certain people can't find a partner by their own. it's same for both men and women. I think you should change it to "force marriages" which is obviously wrong.

@stormyearth arranged marriages and dowry are common where I live. But most end in a tragic way. I know many women who were tortured. That's why I'm against it.
