TV and radio used to shut down at the end of the night and video recorders weren't common yet. There was no internet so the only thing you could really do was read books.

Well I've always had dial up, but that wasn't really fun to be on. So I went outside, watched TV, played video games. Hung out with my family. Stuff like that
