This was taken from Melbreak's northern summit. The lake in the foreground is Crummockwater and the far one is Buttermere. My Dad lives about 10 miles further north, the other side of Cockermouth, through which all this water flows. I've cropped it slightly as I took it lying on my back with my walking boots at the bottom of the frame...

I do a series of "self portraits", this was one.I lay down with my feet as the first object in frame at the bottom of the shot. I have cropped my feet out of this one - Dad said it looked better... I am lying on the southern slope of Melbreak, opposite Scale Force waterfall. The first lake is Crummockwater, the far one is Buttermere. If you know what you're looking for, away in the far distance is the Helvellyn ridge. Dad's house is about 10 miles north of this spot...
