I liked the last sentence. It gave a whole new perspective on the restraint and seeming detachment of the rest of the story.

@Louis54 Okay, that is good.

The seafood pasta sounds delicious.

So does Barolo.

But not together !!
OliRos · 18-21, F
@AudreyA Try it, just leave out the mushrooms, and drink Soave! 😁

A handful of Petit Poids might be nice.
AudreyA · 56-60, F
@OliRos ah, petit poids perfect.
Pmed you🙂

@AudreyA 👍

I love this part one of 18....'Playing at Home'

I note coffee made with beans. A good start.
You know how to treat cooked prawns...and fresh pasta is the only way to travel. I am not that au fait with Barolo. I used to drink a fair bit of wine but stuck mostly to South Australian Reds. Mainly aged Shiraz. Is it suitable for cellaring?

You can come and cook at my place anytime you know your way around a kitchen.

@ArtieKat The local prawn fleet are out at the moment. Almost all of the catch is cooked on board and packed into 5kg boxes. A very well managed fishery and the prawns considered some of the best in Australia. Also the most expensive.

@KiwiBird There was an old joke - from well before you were born - about shell-on prawns and nuns... but I can't remember how it went lol 🤣
OliRos · 18-21, F
@ArtieKat 🙄 I am sure that we are all eternally grateful that age has finally caught up with your memory. Saves us all a lot of embarrassment.

Do you need the toilet, dear?

Shall I move you into the sun?++

Nice writing as always! Though at first I was a bit confused as to why you would thank for a good weekend from which you returned on a Friday. 😅😂
OliRos · 18-21, F
@Luke73 Yes, I understand that. 😁

Nice, simple but very tasty food, Olivia! thanks for sharing the recipe 🤗
OliRos · 18-21, F
@ArtieKat 😁 You are too modest!
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
All sounds yummy. And I do mean all. ;)

You have an alarm? Is your neighborhood not safe?
OliRos · 18-21, F
@sarabee1995 I have an alarm because my flat is above a commercial premises that would be expected to be empty overnight and thus vulnerable. Maybe tempting.

It might appear that the antiques shop could be accessed through my flat.

Also, access to my flat is at the rear of the building, an area without street lighting. So I have two floodlights connected to movement detectors - great most of the time but a bit of a pain when the local cats decide to have a territorial dispute.
