How Bahai is different from Christianity and Islam? How it is not so popular?
@ABCDEF7 TOO big of a question to answer...
bahai.org will help you with some of the answers...

We don't proselytize...we TEACH...so if you haven't seen a commercial for Baha'i, lol, you won't. Christianity's mandate was to "go out and teach and make disciples". Baha'is don't do that; we are "not permitted". If a person is searching for truth, in what we believe the Baha'i Faith gives us, then they will find the Faith. We "dont take collections" or demand that you preach to everyone and tell them about your faith. It's a very respectful, loving Faith.

It is an "Abrahamic Faith"...
actually, Bahaullah is in the lineage of Keturah, Moses' wife...
so that is It's connection to Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

It has A LOT of the same messages as other religions and then it is very different:
Independent Investigation is what drew me...( a religion that requires us to THINK FOR OURSELVES...) Personal growth and maturity. Spiritual enlightenment. Unity. World Peace. Education. Financial and Economic Equity. Brotherhood of Humankind. Equality of the Races, Religions and Sexes. (there are only two: the sex act is FOR marriage only)

Baha'i Faith has a "declared number" of over 8 Million all over the world BUT there are some countries, like Iran, who persecute, steal businesses, livelihoods and homes of Baha'is, banning them from education and even desecrating their graveyards. Baha'is just endured a mass execution ending in an abhorrent MASS BURIAL with is the ultimate indignity of any human. So I believe that there are OVER 10M maybe up to 20M true "declared" Baha'is who are not declared on paper so that they will not put themselves or their families (in another country that persecutes Baha'is) at risk of persecution.
@EvilFairy LOVE that...I get it... but YOU would ACT upon what you believe that God wants for you, right? That's the difference in PRAYER depending upon what religion you are talking about. In the Baha'i faith; we pray that OUR WILL be aligned with God's Will...so it's not us asking God for stuff, but us turning to God to be transformed into more elevated spiritual beings. Some say "Prayer changes things", I've always believed that "Prayer changes ME".

Are you a Bahai
@Alexsw Yes, Have been for about 5 years on the 23rd of this month.
Do you know about the Baha'i faith?

Some, before doing any independent investigation find themselves mimicking the words of "cult" and other false and derogatory names.

It's really the Faith for "this time", imho. No clergy. No tithe. No having to "go to church on Sunday". We meet when we want, we have social events and services for the youth, the elderly, the sick, the disenfranchised and the oppressed. The best people that I've met on the planet yet. Much more sincerity and truthfulness (it is the foundation of all human virtues)...true love and unity of diverse peoples. We have diversity: white, black, brown, (Hispanic, Latin America, Persian) African, Asian, men, women and some Transgender who love the Faith...

I have been a Humanist, Buddhist, Evangelical "born again" Christian, a Messianic Believer (I'm not Jewish but Jewish believers in Jesus/Yeshua) and for a short time, almost agnostic/atheist (actually ex-christian) but not EX Jesus, I always believed that Jesus walked this earth and that His Holiness the Christ, IS and always will be the LOVE OF GOD to this world.

@Alexsw
***my heart leaped***
It's on my Bucket List...

Is it as BIG as it looks and what did you do there? Any special event or just visit to pray?

I have been to the North American House of Worship.
My next one will probably be the European House of Worship in Germany.
Of course, I'd love to visit them all.

@Alexsw Namaste. Your soul is beautiful. If you don't believe you have a soul, then "your person" is beautiful. Thank you for your honesty. I honor that.
