You’re just repeating alarmist liberal rhetoric. Trump isn’t a fascist. He doesn’t even have a coherent ideology. He’s an erratic egoist with a slight case of Amnesia (remember Rocketman?). The parallels between our current state and the Weimar Republic are scant. Trump was elected during a recovery and we are living in one of the most peaceful times in human history fearmongering and doomsaying not permitting.

I can agree with much of this to a point, generally.
However one point you make seems less valid, that of the so called "free press"
There's a distinc lack of free, honest and truthful press in this country... on both conservative and libral sides..
And that's a huge problem, we're being lied to by the press, facts are being witheld....

The terms, liberal and conservative press are themselves utterly wrong..

The free press should be about facts and truth.. nightly news has devolved into an hour long editorial....

And saying that the press has been slow to criticize the president??? Are you watching the same T.V. shows i am??
Liberal media is anti Trump 24/7.... they're going to get him re elected.

Well written and very thorough, but I’m afraid I disagree with your conclusion.

As a former Democrat, I find the current leadership and ideals of the current Democratic Party to be horrific and even were I still a registered Democrat, I couldn’t support them.

@xixgun I agree that I find much in the Democratic Party to be objectionable. However I said nothing about supporting the Democratic Party or its ideals. I was talking about voting for its candidates BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP TRUMP. Sitting on the sidelines because you don't agree with much that it stands for is a silly excuse for doing nothing. Failing to vote AGAINST Trump by voting for his opponent is neither realistic nor admirable.

I disagree with the premise of war. But if it came to fighting against the Nazis or sitting on my hands because I don't want to get my hands dirty, I am realist enough to have decided that the choice is not between good and evil but between the lesser of two evils. Or, to be brutal about it, I would not stand by and let my child get raped because I don't believe in violence.

I think your position is immoral if it means staying out of the political battle.

To people who say, “TLDR” - go back and read it. This one is worth the time.
