I think the main word in there is "can". It's not always. If my man worked a second job and saved up to get me a car so I could drive around, that is amazing. If I had a rich husband, and he was just trying to buy my affection with "things", then yes, I might fall for the guy who goes out of his way to give his time and effort into fixing my car.

@Mcmarie90 so the man who bought you a car, didn't go out of his way to get it for you
But rather the one fixed it for you?

Lol

@SilentObZerver did you read my comment? Context. If he slaved away at a second job (or overtime or even saved up a long time), that's different then a rich person trying to buy my affection with "things".
If you want to buy my love, just buy me cheese.

@Mcmarie90

So the key phrase here is "going out of his way"

Interesting!

Probably not, unless she's trying to get away from the man who thought he can buy her affection with a car.

@SilentObZerver
o does buying stuff for a woman mean you are buying her affection?

Your post implies you think it should.
SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
@Northwest i respect your interpretation lol
YoMomma ·
It happens i guess for some
Nah , a real woman would thank the man who fixed the car respectfully 🤝 then fuq the man who bought her the car later … after having dinner that she cooked for them both. 😌 ❤‍🔥

Trust comes from a healthy perspective.
